Kate and Lucas’s engagement portrait session was a LONG TIME in the making! It seemed like every time we planned a date for their portrait session in Birmingham, something continued to come up. The pandemic, a mask ordinance, and so many other world events just kept working against our plans, but we were FINALLY able to get together this past weekend, and the images we captured were well worth the wait!
We began our session at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, where we were greeted by roses bloomed out throughout the garden. Will and I had shot here before, but we had never seen the flowers as beautiful as they were Sunday evening!
After finishing at the Gardens, we headed to downtown Birmingham and Morris Avenue (home of Will and I’s favorite boiled peanut shop, lol) to create some magic there! We finished up their session on top of a rooftop that gave us the most beautiful skyline as a backdrop.
I am so grateful for Kate and Lucas choosing me as their wedding photographer! I’ve learned more recently how difficult it is to decide who to trust with such an intimate and exciting time in your life, which is making me feel even more loved than ever by my sweet brides. I know their wedding day in November is going to be so full of joy and love! I cannot wait to be a small part of their day 🥰
If you liked this session, I think you will also love Victoria & Tim’s Cherokee Rock Village engagement session.
