Claire’s senior portrait session was full of laughs and fun between both of us! When she mentioned she wanted to shoot in the beautiful Dahlias at Isom’s Orchard, I just knew we were in for a gorgeous senior shoot.

I am such a sucker for fields of flowers, and we had the absolute best lighting in the field! It is always exciting to see the flowers blooming in the summer and fall on the side of Highway 72 in Athens.

Since moving to Birmingham, I have definitely been on the lookout for a similar spot in this area…the Birmingham Botanical Gardens is a beautiful spot, but sometimes, you just want a more ‘wild’ look to portraits over the manicured perfection we find in the BBG.
