Throw some confetti, because I am finally sharing my favorite shops for senior portrait outfits! This is a question I am asked all the time, and I love helping my seniors plan outfits for their senior portraits. Maybe you have an idea of what you want out of your senior portraits, but I get that it can be overwhelming to plan and visualize it in its entirety. That’s where I can help, friend!
I give my seniors everything they need including prep and in-depth planning for a fabulous experience! You’re only a senior once, so it should be absolutely perfect from start to finish. My session experience goes beyond just shoot day!
Below I am sharing some stunning senior portrait looks and breaking down each senior’s outfit with ALL the details:
Abby’s blue dress is from Anthropologie. I love this dress because it is colorful and flowy! It is SO much fun to be able to twirl dresses during sessions, and gives movement to your photos.
Anna’s blue dress is from Shoe Fly Boutique. I absolutely love how classy this outfit choice is, and is perfect for any of the more formal locations we shoot at in Birmingham, Alabama.
Anna’s orange dress is from T.J. Maxx. Not every outfit has to be name brand or from a special boutique. I always suggest a midi or maxi-length dress when we will be shooting in any field. It allows us to have so much variety in posing – whether that is twirling the skirt around or giving space to lay down/sit down/kneel down for photos.
Claire’s black one-shoulder top is from Shein. Shein is a great site to buy from since pieces are so inexpensive! I loved the simplicity of her top being a solid color, and the texture it has! Texture on clothing makes pieces interesting without overpowering the subject of the photo.
Emma’s maxi dress is from Blu Spero Boutique. It was the perfect maxi dress for The Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
Emma’s white romper is C. Collection, paired with the cutest Sam Edelman shoes. I love the ruffles on the romper. Ruffled sleeves for really fun close-up portraits! Since the romper was solid white, it was perfect to accessorize with fun shoes to make a statement!
Gracey’s pink top is from Mac and White Boutique. I love white jeans for senior portraits! It makes for a great ‘formal’ spin on a jean outfit.
Gracey’s purple from is from Martin’s. Having two different tops to pair with her white jeans, gave a great variety in her senior portraits since we shot at different locations in each outfit. Gracey is again showing the idea of texture on clothing items rather than a printed pattern.
Kenzie’s blazer is from Apple & Lo. I love incorporating blazers for a look because it gives a sophisticated, but fun look (especially if the blazer is a fun color)! This is a great way to add even more variety in albums without adding on an entirely new outfit.
Lauren’s outfit is from Effie’s. I love a shorts outfit for senior photos, but generally try to steer my seniors towards away from denim shorts and instead towards a more dressy material like Lauren’s in this photo! I always love the way pastel colors photograph. It’s a fun way to work in color and have variety in photos without a bright, bold color being the focus of your image!
Ragan’s sweatshirt is by Judith March and I’m obsessed! It is such a cute statement top for your senior session.
My other favorite shops for seniors to shop are Red Dress Boutique, Impressions Boutique, The Pants Store, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Princess Polly.
