I am SO excited to share Holly’s incredible UAB Graduation Portraits with you! This session was so much fun and extra special.  Not only do I feel honored to capture this exciting milestone for her, I also get the privilege to capture her upcoming WEDDING next April as an EJ-Associate! Goodness, I just can’t wait!

Holly pursued a degree in Business and graduated with her Bachelors degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in August.  We shot on campus at UAB for her session, which was perfect! UAB is not your traditional college campus, since it is in the middle of the city and Medical District. I love photographing Birmingham based college graduates, because we have more options for photos, since we aren’t limited to staying on campus! 

A few of my favorite Birmingham locations for portraits are The Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Downtown Birmingham, Morris Avenue, Southside Baptist Church, Railroad Park, and anywhere your story can be told through photos! 

Another aspect of Holly’s session I absolutely loved was her dress choice.  I mean who else is here for that pink dress?! A lot of times, graduates will choose to wear a white dress, which nothing is wrong with that, but it’s more of a traditional approach.  Wearing a colorful dress is a great way to stand out in your portraits and make your session unique.  Next time you take portraits of any kind, keep in mind your location, and if it makes sense to wear a pop of color, incorporate something that really shows off your personality! 

Holly has the greatest sense of humor.  Hanging out with her during her session had me laughing so much. Our personalities hit it off right off the bat, and I knew I adored her from the first time we met! I can’t wait to spend even more time with her when she becomes a beautiful bride!
